Using the app

Help & getting-started guide

A quick guide to what the app does and how to use it: map the fence line, set your pricing, build an itemised quote, then save, share, export a PDF, or send it to Xero.

The four steps to a quote

The whole job, start to finish. The app fills the next screen in for you as you go.

Start a new quote

Tap New quote on the home screen and name the job.

Give the quote a project name (required).
Add the site address and contact details if you like.
Move through each step with Back and Next at the top.

Set the pricing

Each quote carries its own pricing, so a saved quote never changes later.

Starts on industry pricing, or tap Choose structure.
Edit any price for this quote, then Save as structure to reuse it.
Build and manage reusable structures from the home screen.

Mark the fence

Trace the fence line on the map while you're at the property.

Search the address to jump straight there.
Drop pins along the fence, and the distance is measured for you.
Tap Take me to quote at the top right when you're done.

Review the quote

Your details and measurements are already filled in.

Adjust fence type, posts, gates and stays. The total updates live.
Save, share a link, or export a PDF from the footer.
Save & home returns you to the start, ready for the next job.

Pricing structures

Set your prices once, reuse them on every quote.

The app opens on industry pricing, a set of sensible defaults to get you going. You can edit any price, or build your own structure and save it to reuse on future jobs. Manage all your structures from the home screen.

The important bit: every quote locks in the pricing it was built with. Change your prices next month and your old quotes stay exactly as you sent them, so nothing shifts under your customer.

The map

Measure the real fence line instead of guessing.

Search the property address to jump there, then drop pins along the fence line. The app measures the distance between them for you. Set the ground (easy through to rocky or severe) and the slope (flat, undulating or steep) so the quote reflects what the job will actually take. When you're done, send the measured line straight into the quote.

The quote builder

Everything itemised, totalled live.

Pick your fence type and add the components the job needs: posts, gates (from 1.0 m up to 4.8 m), stays and restrains, star posts, and electric wire. The total and a full cost breakdown update the moment you change anything, and the app builds a materials list alongside it.

Saving quotes

Your job history, in one place.

Save a quote and it lands in the Saved tab. From there you can reopen a job, rename it, make a copy to base a new quote on, or delete it.

Get the quote to your customer however suits.

Share a link

Tap Share to generate a link your customer can open in any browser. They don't need the app or an account.

Export a branded PDF

Export a tidy, branded PDF with your details, the materials list and the cost breakdown. Want to send materials only? Uncheck the total and cost breakdown before you export.

Sending to Xero Pro

Straight from a quote into your accounts.

Connect your Xero account once under Settings. After that, Send to Xero creates a draft quote in Xero, ready for you to review, edit and send to the customer from there. Add the customer's name on the quote and the app matches it to your Xero contacts, creating a new one if it doesn't find a match.

What's free, what's Pro, and how to manage it.

Plans

14-day free trial. Full access and no commitment, so you can try the app on real jobs.
Pro unlocks. Saving quotes, branded PDF exports, shareable links, and sending straight to Xero.
Trial finished? Your account and every saved quote are kept, and you can reactivate any time from Settings.

Manage a web subscription under Settings. Manage an App Store subscription through your Apple account in the App Store.

Common questions

The ones we get asked most.

If I change my prices, do my old quotes change too?

No. Each quote keeps the exact pricing it was built with, so updating your prices only affects new quotes from that point on.

Can my customer open a shared quote without the app?

Yes. A share link opens in any web browser, with no app and no account needed.

Is there an iPhone app?

An iPhone app is coming soon. For now, the app works in any web browser on your phone, tablet or computer.

How do I report a bug or request a feature?
